Dear Brother (1991)

Episode Overview

As a child, Rei had first encountered Fukiko during a time when her own world was still small and uncomplicated. Even then, Fukiko’s pride had been a quiet, unyielding force—something that commanded respect without ever demanding it. Rei remembered the way Fukiko carried herself, her chin lifted, her gaze steady, as if the weight of her own expectations was a crown she wore willingly. It wasn’t arrogance, but a fierce self-possession that Rei had found both intimidating and inspiring. Even now, looking back, that pride remained one of the most admirable things about her.
