Plot
Molinat takes on the case of a man discovered with a bullet lodged in his ear along the shore of a small Atlantic resort he knows intimately—he once lived there, before his wife vanished at sea and was never found. As the ocean surrenders a fresh body each day, the mystery deepens and suspects multiply. Progress is further hampered by the meddling Leroyer, dispatched to shadow him and stall the investigation. Tensions escalate as a tangled web involving three young women in the grey mansion, the village idiot, and the real estate agent spirals beyond control.
