Plot

Facing eviction, Ruby moves in with her pregnant younger sister and her husband following their alcoholic father's death. Her dramatic behavior and compulsive dishonesty soon stir up tension, as a desperate Ruby attempts to conceal her fragile situation, clinging to the hope that a career in showbusiness will rescue her.
