Plot
In a near-future world where polluted air keeps most people confined to virtual existence, Carol is a restless working mother who feels disconnected from her husband Gary and her child. Their familiar home life has grown suffocating, and with divorce looming, she jumps at the opportunity to join "DreamQuil," a cutting-edge digital wellness retreat, hoping to reclaim her life. But when she comes back, she finds her family has been sharing their home with "Carol 2"—a robot the company sent to fill in for her—and events soon shift into something eerie and menacing.
